A brief overview

Young Life is an activity anybody should definitely want to get involved with. It's a very casual way to learn about God and get introduced to Him if you haven't had experience with religion. A typical high school YL club starts off with some music and crazy games. (You can't be afraid to get dirty, embarrassed, or to be seen acting like a child). While there, someone might see others getting pied in the face or chugging a liter or pop. Group activities, singing songs, and playing games make club a place to return to. It is something my friends and I look forward to on Monday nights. After some fun, one of the leaders takes the stage and shares a bible message to the group. Young Life helps develop awesome relationships with friends and God. Through my experiences in YL, I have met many amazing people. All of my leaders have become really close friends. They always come to support in school sports and in tough times. This site offers great information on Young Life and how to get involved. Young Life isn't just a high school event. Young Life is offered for middle schoolers and teens with disabilities, which I will be blogging more about later. :)

  1. I would start by describing the basic purpose of YL, which you do about halfway in. You're also using the word "you," which the reader may take personally. Can I, a 30 year-old, get involved? If not, "you" is not the best pronoun choice. Good use of a hyperlink, but can you say more about it?

  2. I haven't ever been to Young Life before, but it sounds like a lot of fun. Especially the part about the pie. I think its great that they get junior high students and those with disabilities involved. I believe it would be a great opportunity to learn more about God with your friends.

  5. I've always heard about young life and have never done it. Maybe it is because, like you said, I would have to get embarrassed. That is a fear I should get over, because this group sounds like alot of fun! I'm interested to hear more about this subject, and want to learn more :)

  7. I really like younglife. I wish people would go again like they did freshman year. I like the topic because i can relate to much of what you said. You really explained about what we do and that gives others a chance to see what younglife is really about which after reading this, if i hadn't known what it was, sounds great. So great topic!
